THE WORLD IS OUR COMMUNITY

Safeguard Humanity Foundation

Until Humanity is Safeguarded, and the Well-being of all is Achieved and Guaranteed

INTRODUCTION

The opening verse of the Core Values of SHUF document is the basics for all our quests for humanity, it states as follows that: Humanity is the cement that seals our common descent, the unity of our purpose and oneness. Humanity is the passion for our freedom and the abhorrence of injustice, political, religious and social maneuvering, and humanity is the core of our close affinity and alliance as nations and people of the world. It is then reasonably up to us as members of the human family, states and leaders of thoughts, to tackle the socioeconomic, political, religious cum social crisis turbulence of our time, to protect humanity’s well-being and above all; to seek the precious balance between justice, freedom and rights and the endemic insecurity, climate change, violence, war and poverty in the midst of plenty, sickness, diseases and famine, that often threaten the balance of the world.

Our priority is the safeguarding of the human life, dignity and integrity.

The Sacred Human Life

Human life is the value upon which all values whatsoever, derive and have their meaning intrinsically.

The Intrinsic dignity and integrity of the Human life.

These as it were, are the three things of one, SHUF protects and defends, preserves, provides for and promotes amongst people of every tribe, tongue and nations within the Community, the Nations and the World at large </SHUF CORE VALUE 1.docx> The priority of these three ties of humanity as SHUF reason for coming into existence (purpose) leads to the fundamental mission of the organization that is, To be a global beacon of hope for human humanitarian assistance and development because the world as we know it today on the most part, has being broken by the humans and fragmented catastrophically the elements.

Each time there is war, violence, human right abuse, famine, murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape, and people displaced from their homes as refugees all of which are human degradation, it is always because priority over theses greatest values has been placed over the human life, dignity and integrity. Yet undeniably, human life, dignity and integrity is inherently more valuable than anything we can ever think of or imagine except its creator.

WHAT THE HUMAN LIFE IS NOT

Human life is distinct from any other life in the universe and the maker made it so [Exodus 4:11], distinct and unique and separate because of its source, origin and responsibilities [Genesis 1:26]. Human life is not the life of animals, or trees or some other entities or beings. Once the human life is perceived in no different degrees of value and perception as other lives, the dignity and integrity eminent in the human life suffers loss and those results to the street treatment we find today in our neighbourhood and nations and even within the international community meted on human life.

The idea of human life from the religious point of view is the idea of sacred life and the idea that human life is distinct and unequal to any other life in the universe because it issues from divine origin.  God values every human life from its beginning—from its earliest days in its mother’s womb. Throughout Scripture, we see children in the womb described as human beings (e.g., Jeremiah 1:5 and Luke 1:41). God, through the speakers whose words He inspired, personally takes credit for the formation and development of life in the womb[43] (Job 31:15; Psalm 139:13–14).

It couldn’t have just being all about humanity’s biochemistology that contributes to the uniqueness amongst other creatures but far from that is that man is made. The human dignity took a different stage when it became a matter of human right and consideration in international law, first expressions in the 1920s  in connection with slave trade and slavery in the nineteenth century, but gains its fullest legality even though one was not needed, in the adoption of the two human rights Covenants in 1966, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).
