Early Beginnings.
In the heart of the most populous black Country of West Africa-Nigeria, where the need for humanitarian aid seems urgent and greatest, SAFEGUARD HUMANITY FOUNDATION (SHUF) was born. Established in year 2016 as a beacon of hope for millions of people affected by poverty and insecurity, inequality, insurgence and myriads of social injustices. SHUF was establish with a mission to safeguard humanity, and has continued to work tirelessly to provide emergency relief, support sustainable development, advocate for human rights etc for communities and individuals. Dedicated to the cause of humanity and typically involved in a variety of social, humanitarian, environmental, advocacy, and developmental initiatives. We work on local, national, and international levels, addressing issues such as human rights, poverty alleviation, education, health care, environmental protection, and disaster relief etc.
SHUF was established as nonprofit and none governmental Organization whose ultimate purpose are the safeguarding of the Life, Dignity and Integrity of the human person. To tackle the socio-economic, cum the political turbulence of our time, to promote humanity’s well-being and to seek the precious balance between justice, freedom and rights and the endemic insecurity, climate change, violence and wars, poverty in the midst of plenty, sickness, diseases and famine that often threaten the balance of a just world than advance the common good and well-being of mankind. SHUF’s journey began with a group of passionate individuals who shared a common vision of creating a better world.
SHUF’s journey began with a group of passionate individuals who shared a common vision of creating a better world inspired and motivated by the vision bearer [Cesco Tenez], Dr Helen, Bar Rupert Irikefe, Engr Anthony Uzo, Engr Augustina Anunobi, Evang Damian Mba and Sr Catherine inflamed by the spark of light and driven by a desire to make a positive impact on their community gathered for the historic and humble beginning of SAFEGUARD HUMANITY. They started by providing basic necessities like food, shelter, education, scholarships and healthcare to those in need, driven by a desire to make a positive impact in various spectrum of human endevour and Community.
This team is charge with the responsibility of the Foundations social media and media handling and they are the image makers as well as the monitoring team of the organization.
WHY SAFEGUARDING HUMANITY IS DEEPLY IMPORTANT and-A COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY
In today’s world, safeguarding humanity is more crucial than ever. With rising global challenges, protecting human life and dignity, integrity and well-being is essential.
The founding elites of Safeguard Humanity Foundation informed by personal human experiences has these to say; “The enormity of the human risk-challenges of our time has terribly subjugated humanity to untold hardships and sufferings, and like never before, imposing on the Human Life, Dignity, and Integrity, a perilous existential threatening degradation-undoubtedly beyond recall and imagination. While these extra-ordinary dangerous human experiences are the concerns of both international and domestic governments and leaderships, they are the primary concerns and main focus of Safeguard Humanity Foundation, and have not only necessitate its inevitable establishment, but chiefly shaped the organization’s mission and vision, aim, purpose and objectives, principal goals, philosophical views and cultural values”.
It their inaugural the vision bearer of SHUF has this to say:
“I have encountered amongst the people, he emphatically says, the painful and ugly face of human degradation; the danger of insecurity, human rights abuses, he tortures of famine and poverty at its best and often weaponized. Diseases projected, deaths fostered by wars and culpable ignorance and the degradation of the human life. The cruelty of man against his fellow men: domestic violence, rape, teenage pregnancy, and the great ordeals of countless homeless men and women and children living in slums, the surge of hungry beggars, refugees and displaced persons hopelessly loitering the streets and suburbs of the world-driven from their homes by the menace of insurgence and terrorism, strive and wars, living in poverty, and an environment so terribly polluted; without food, care, dignity and hope. The crippling and despicable-poor quality education in the offering for young peoples, a host of them driven from learning for lack of financial assistance and then, the heinous insecurity, the kidnapping, the murders, the robbery and the endless myriads of other deplorable human conditions destroying the beauty and integrity of humanity and making development seemingly uneasy or rather impossible-the results of which are the rascality and sabotage of humanity ultimate attaining its ultimate goals, fullness potential and nobility
Humanity is at its greatest historical moments of surges, like never before, and so much is going on around the world, terrifying narratives of plundering and endangering the edifice of unity and oneness, peace and progress that binds us together as a descent. SHUF promotes ECO friendly environment, combats ignorance through quality education, engages in care giving and child education sponsorship, encourages community-led sustainable development and humanitarian initiatives. The organization further invests in skill acquisition-campaign initiatives, human rights defense and advocacy against harmful drug use, preventable viral diseases, health support and humanitarian relief etc.
But that’s not all, we are also into advocacy for human right defense, child trafficking, legal aids to those unjustly imprisoned including, drug use dependents. The organization is engaged in rehab Centers for senior citizens, the homeless, including refugees and displaced persons, street children, vulnerable pregnant teenage girls, and providing advocacy to the sexually abused persons, and peaceful mediation initiative across the globe.
SHUF advocates for equity and social justice, environmental and Eco-friendly attitude and capacity building for self-development, and encourages sustainable initiatives for better and dignify living. SHUF is a global initiative and our core objectives and commitments are the well-being of humanity, as an independent and impartial aid organization SHUF works in situations of existential threats to humanity, we work alongside vulnerable and neglected population, taking actions in order to respond to their various fundamental rights and essential needs, improving their living conditions and awareness while promoting the dignity of their human person. SHUF is an active global initiative and a dynamic agenda for humanity whose entire mission is, the safety and well-being of humanity, thus SHUF works in a range of humanitarian, resilience and development contexts, as a global beacon of hope and panacea for human development.

Climate Change involving, Environmental degradation and climate change impact human habitats and livelihoods and Health Crises brandishing, Pandemics and epidemics pose significant threats to human health.
